Visiting Bikepacking Belgium in Antwerp

On our trip to Antwerp and to Oxford in Sint-Niklaas, Axel and I had the opportunity to visit Thomas, the owner of the specialist dealer and outdoor expert Bikepacking Belgium (bikepacking-belgium.be).

The shop is located in the Groen Kwartier, a former military hospital that is now a car-free residential and working quarter, just a few minutes' walk from Berchem station.

Bikepacking Belgium specialises in Velotraum touring bikes, and Thomas has his own very clear view of his customers and his product range.

For me, it was a very interesting combination of high-quality bicycles designed for a very specific purpose. Durability, reliability, low weight and the right gear ratio are right at the top of the priority list here. The bikes also need to be able to carry quite a load, and I was amazed at how wide the range has become in the meantime.
